Partial Description:

This position serves on a team that is responsible for providing ombudsman services to nearly 900,000 managed care enrollees. Ombudsman assist managed care enrollees with service, billing and access issues. In addition, ombudsman office has a role in contract compliance and quality. The incumbent must provide direct data analysis and data warehouse support and expertise to the Managed Care Ombudsman Team.

Responsibilities include:
    Develop, implement, and lead a process to identify business information issues and needs with specified documentation to support required information technology systems.
    Act as a technical expert and user of the Ombudsman Data Warehouse license, generating system reports, developing queries and reports for use in identifying and measuring trends and providing guidance to unit staff.
    Advise management concerning contract compliance issues and work with contract management in implementing and enforcing MCO corrective action plans.
    Collaborate with the MCOs to reduce disparities among enrollees who use the appeals and grievances process.
