The Management Analyst role presents a great career opportunity to join CHIA’s Health Systems Performance (HSP) Unit, a vibrant team that is dedicated to monitoring the Massachusetts health care market and supporting health policy through independent research and analysis. Reporting to the Director of External Research Partnerships, the Analyst will provide project management for a wide range of contracted research projects, including mandated benefit reviews, uninsurance and underinsurance research and statewide surveys. In addition to the required skills listed below the ideal candidate will be excited to help build a research portfolio, to work in a fast paced environment, and enjoy implementing cross-sector partnerships and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:
It is strongly preferred that the candidate have studied or developed expertise in public policy, health policy, public administration, law, public health, research analytics, economics, statistics or a related field. The Management Analyst must have a broad understanding of health care policy, financing and delivery systems.

In addition, the Analyst should be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong project and contract or grants management skills
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to look at data sets, summarize key findings, and distill the information in written reports and presentations for a variety of audiences
  • Experience with producing graphs, tables, reports and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods, research design, and/or epidemiology
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and with multiple external stakeholders
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Creative and innovative mindset
