Claims Data 101 Is Now Available 

Claims Data 101 is a plain-language introduction to healthcare claims data: where it comes from, what's inside it, and how it's used to create value. From the APCD Council, a program of NAHDO. 

In about 23 minutes, you'll learn what a healthcare claim is, what goes into making one, what information it carries, how claims come together in a claims database, the legal and ethical obligations that come with the data, how it's used, and its strengths and limitations. The APCD Council is a program of the National Association of Health Data Organizations (NAHDO) and a learning collaborative that shares information with states, provides technical assistance, and helps states achieve mutual goals.
